Make yourself comfy and listen closely to amazing Gretsch guitar solos of Mark Shields, the strong beat of Lee Christenson's drums and the slap of the upright bassman Frankie Cadillac. A musical time machine that will take you out of the present and introduce you to doo-wop, country, hillbilly, rock'n'roll, and bring you right back.

Brick Fields Band

Brick Fields is an Arkansas original musical group fronted by the ambrosial voice of Rachel Fields bring you their ‘Roots’ music using a Folk, Gospel and Blues platform as with an Americana Soul feel on their new album “Blues Habit”. The Brick Fields foundation is married couple Rachel Fields and Larry Brick. Rachel cut her musical teeth first in the Arkansas river valley, by way of her Uncle Mike "Burger" Scoggins, then in the jam band circuit touring in the late 90's east and west coast festivals opening for acts like Government Mule and later singing on a tour with JGB. Larry has spent over 40 years in the music business as a guitar player, songwriter and also as a worship leader during the California Calvary movement of the 1970’s.

 

John Mayall with Special Guest Carolyn Wonderland

For over 50 years, John Mayall has served as a pioneer of blues music, rightly earning him the title, “The Godfather of British Blues.” In 2013, John signed with producer Eric Corne’s label, Forty Below Records, and the four studio albums – along with two landmark Bluesbreakers live 1967 recordings - released since continue to raise Mayall’s recognition as a true pioneer and innovator in blues and roots music.

Mayall's special guest is Texas guitarist extraordinaire Carolyn Wonderland. Wonderland will open the evening with her band, then join Mayall and his band as his newest "Bluesbreaker", following in the footsteps of fellow Blues guitar greats Eric Clapton, Peter Green, Mick Taylor, Walter Trout and Coco Montoya.

Father's Day Sunday Blues Picnic at Turpentine Creek

Join us for our annual Father's Day Sunday Blues Picnic at Turpentine Creek Wildife Refuge. Located 7 miles south of Eureka Springs on Highway 23, TCWR is America's premiere exotic animal refuge. TCWR gives lifetime homes in natural habitats to lions, tigers, bears and other exotic wildlife. Bring your shade tents, folding chairs, umbrellas, sun screen and we'll supply hot blues and food, ice cold beverages. Arts and craft vendors will be on hand, and the artists will all have CDs available to sign!

Tom Baker's Blues Harmonica For Kids of All Ages
Sunday, June 17 - 1:00 PM @ Turpentine Creek

      

Free Hohner harmonicas for the first 50 kids, plus a quick lesson on how to play a blues song from Kansas City blues historian and harmonica master Tom Baker! Baker has fronted The Blues Notions for almost four decades, making them one of Kansas City's longest running bands.

Tony Redman

Tony Redman is a roots guitar player, and singer, specializing in old blues, country, and rock n roll. In his spare time, Tony handcrafts one-of-a-kind steel body slide guitars in his home workshop.

Fast Johnny Ricker Band
Saturday, June 17 - 3:30 PM @ Turpentine Creek

      

Fast Johnny Ricker and his band are returning to Eureka Springs to play an "unplugged" set of blistering blues, showcasing one of the finest slide guitarists in America in an acoustic set. Johnny will be joined by his long-time drummer Gary Miller on drums and his son Davis Ricker on acoustic bass. Johnny and the band will then host a jam featuring some of the incredible musicians who have played during Blues Weekend.

All-Star Jam

We've invited all the artists from the various venues to join us for an All-Star jam to end Blues Weekend! You never know who might just join in...
